Halo franchise returning to PC

Microsoft is bringing its flagship console franchise back to PCs with a new free-to-play business model. A representative for the company confirmed forGamesIndustry.biz that it is readying Halo Online, a free-to-play multiplayer-exclusive game for PCs.

Halo Online is being developed by Russian studio Saber Interactive, creators of first-person shooters like TimeShift and Inversion. The studio is also well acquainted with Halo, having assisted 343 Industries in the creation of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary as well as Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

The game will be published by Innova Systems, a Russian MMO outfit that has handled operations for Lineage 2, Aion, APB Reloaded, and Planetside 2.
More details are expected to be posted to the Halo Waypoint blog soon.

4-16 players
Graphics on par with Halo 4 based on Halo 3 engine
Power-ups and weapons pick-ups on the battlefield
Rich visual and gameplay customization of weapons and armor
There will be vehicles.
f2p is about weapons, armor and power-ups
Right now developers said nothing about story mode and there is likely the game will be MP-PVP only.

Closed Beta will start "very soon"
Team Slayer and Assassinations modes confirmed
Backstabbing confirmed
There will be trials and missions like "kill 30 enemies today". Typical f2p fashion.
Microsoft is co-distributing the game here in Russia

BTW I think Microsoft will put some big stuffs in Windows 10 (and for DX 12) from Xbox franchise. Not like fable stuff. But something like halo 3/4, forza or sunset overdrive like stuff.
