Is it Worth Putting FF15 on XBO?

It's practically the same for January and February that it was last year. It should be higher for January and February considering the much lower price and free games. We're essentially watching a repeat of last year. A strong preceding holiday followed by dang near identical numbers from the previous first two months. That's not a turn around, dude. It's having to offer the console for $150 less and give away games to basically match what it did the year before. Much wow. Such turn around.

The rumor that I heard was that SE's former president was seriously considering an exclusivity deal with Sony for many of their games, including Final Fantasy 15 and Kingdom Hearts 3, but when he was replaced that possibility ended. That rumor aside, I don't think Square Enix has much confidence in Xbox. I doubt that they will become exclusive for anything of their own choice but I think it will be easy for Sony to "convince" them considering the PS4's current position.
The same Wada that had a hard on for Microsoft?  The same Wada that stopped XIII's development by a year by having the devs port the white engine to the 360?

Dr. Pezus

Well it will probably make its money back but not much more than that. I can see the PS4 version selling about 5 times as much or worse.

Like I said, that's just the rumor I heard. Times could have easily changed his position. It's not a stretch to think that after it became clear that the 360 wasn't going to dominate the West and their Japanese games sold poorly on 360 by comparison he decided that Sony was a better bet for future Japanese projects as they had always been. Though I really don't care if the rumor is true or not. I still think even the major Japanese devs are going to soon be supporting one console most of the time. Hell, Capcom has two big projects on the way for PS4 and one of them is their biggest franchise. Sure, Sony had to lay some money out and they'd have to do the same thing with SE, but I think it's becoming easier for these deals to be made.

Unlikely, though I never heard of any rumoir about that.  Oh well.  About the port?  It's highly likely that Square Enix will lose money on the port, but not definite.

Nah the X1 version will probably still sell a million or something, for huge games like this it's worth it, for smaller japanese titles PS4 exclusivity should definitely be considered though.

I highly doubt it'll sell a million.  Final Fantasy XIII managed 2 with a huge marketing push + part of the fan base that only bought a 360.  I highly doubt that fan base bought Xbox Ones.  Nor is XV getting Microsoft's marketing money.

We'll see I guess. No way to really know at the moment. I personally believe that FF XV will be better received than XIII and also sell more, so even on Xbox it should claw its way to a million.

I agree with Kryta on this. The circumstances surrounding Final Fantasy 13's 2 million sales on the 360 were very different from the situation today. We've already been given a taste of how the fanbases respond to Final Fantasy this generation thanks to Amazon. Type-0 for PS4 is currently 24th on the 2015 Best Sellers while the X1 version didn't even rank in the top 100. The PS4 version of Final Fantasy 15 is 549th in the hourly charts. Compare this to the X1 version which is 2,631st. It's also worth pointing out that the Final Fantasy X/X-2 remaster was outselling the X1 version of Type-0 prior to release and is currently ranked 98th in the hourly charts versus Type-0 for X1 at 260th... and that game isn't releasing until May.

70/30~80/20 looks to be the sales ratio, maybe even worse world wide.

Doubt Kingdom Hearts 3 will make its way to xbo then. That game still seems so far off.

According to a friend of mine, not sure how reliable this is, one of the voice actors for the game claimed the game would be releasing this year. Not sure if there has been anything said to the contrary.

Well FF15 is launching this year, and we have so much more info and video of it compared to KH3.

...lol what? I don't think you heard correctly.

Raven

Seriously, if you know something I don't please tell me because I would love for it to come out this year. But everything that's been said about the game, the interviews, the game's scale, and lack of even a general release window isn't making a 2015 release look good.
