+7 for Bloodborne on COMG. 157 with 4 days to go :)

Dr. Pezus

Next MC is going to be sweet.

FF Type 0, Battlefield Hardline, Resident Evil, Minecraft all look like they did good numbers. Hopefully PS4 can do 40k+! Then another 40-50k+ with Bloodborne

woah, XB1 in freefall

Crazy.

At first it looked like maybe just the halo bundle was taking sales but no. Both skus are even dropping.

Could be xbo's worst March yet! Harharhar

Dat lack of gotg Titanfall tho

Lol you mean the one tossed into a $500 package? It's 350 with two free games from a well known franchise or a collection of 4 games from the biggest Xbox franchise. There is no excuse.

I just want to rant right now.
I think it's hilarious how some people think that MS is in a better first party position.  "Why is PS4 selling, it has no games?"
Seems to me that most people forget that most people don't care about first party games.  On the Sony side, GT, Uncharted/TLoU, GoW, and LBP are pretty big franchises.  (I'm putting TLoU with Uncharted since it's a ND game, and it's the sole title so far.)
Where MS has Gears, Halo, Forza.

Sony has released 2 of those games.  (LBP(original sold 4-5 million), and TLoU)
MS has released 3 of those games (2 Forza, and 1 Halo)
But Forza is like the same as Killzone, it's not massively massive.
And the only Halo to have been released so far is just a compilation.  Which is pretty big, it's not as big as a new Halo.

There's nothing really big there.
Third parties are the biggest reason why the systems are selling.

i read a comment on chert in famitsu thread that said ps4 sales aren't good, only reason they are beating wii u is because new releases (which is exactly the point... But he was missing it), bloodborne won't sell that well and it isn't a system seller..... If i weren't already permabanned there I would have been after that comment

when I came across the comments suggesting ps4 was selling by hype because it had no games i always responded with "games sell system. " implying it was the games that were moving the system. There might not be that one standout game that everyone points to and says that defines the system. But there doesn't need to be. All that there needs to be is when you look at the catalog in its entirety that there are games on it that you are interested in playing. And for the ps4 there are games that will interest everyone.  It's catalog is massive.

Lol. In that case he knows PS4 will be beating WiiU from now on because WiiU gets a lot less new releases

EA take their first No1 crown of the year with 'Battlefield Hardline' becoming the biggest All Formats No1 of 2015 so far.

Developed by Visceral Games & DICE the series moves into new territory taking on a cops and robbers approach. The latest entry goes one better than 'Battlefield 4' which made its debut at No2 in November 2013. Several other new releases arrive this week and its Square Enix's 'Final Fantasy Type-0 HD', which takes the No2 spot. It forces last week's chart topper 'Grand Theft Auto V' (-5%) down to No3. 'Dying Light' (-36%) drops two places down to No4 just holding off a resurgent 'FIFA 15' (+11%) at No5. Nintendo's Wii U exclusive 'Mario Party 10' lands at No6, becoming the second highest week 1 in the series behind Mario Party 8.
Capcom's 'Resident Evil: Revelations 2' is the 4th top ten new release this week at No7. 'Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare' (16%) sees a boost in sales but still slips down to No8. 'Minecraft: Xbox Edition' (-13%) and 'Minecraft: PlayStation Edition' (-10%) slip down the chart but are still at No9 & No10. Despite strong sales driven by retailer promotions 'Disney Infinity 2.0' (+36%) settles just outside the Top 10 at No11. The arrival of a new market wide Xbox One hard bundle also sees 'Halo: The Masterchief Collection' (+80%) propelled 14 places to No13.
