Nintendo is making mobile games now. The casual crowd is covered with this move, while the core Nintendo fans have the NX to look forward. This makes it look like the NX will be geared towards hardcore gamers and thus, a graphical beast.

Who's to say that the NX's not a handheld? Was that whole "Nintendo making a system that functions as both a console and handheld"-thing ever proven to be more than an assumption that people made based on something that Nintendo said?

I don't even think it was based off something Nintendo said.

Fusion was a fake leak like two years ago. Then since the fake leak got a lot of news, other fake leaks were made to jump in on the bandwagen. This got the ball rolling for Fusion, which is 100% fan conjecture. Nintendo's few comments have been interperated to support fusion, but really that was a strech.

It was based off of Iwata saying that they needed to combine their software divisions together.  It's why you have Smash Bros. on 3DS and Wii U.

I don't even think it was something Nintendo said. As far as I know it was just a random leak and everyone grabbed on.
