Simple and straight forward,. nintendo's new "fusion" direction is a winning strategy.  people really want to play console quality games on the go.  people really want to small pick up and play games at home.  the new fusion direction will guarantee good software support with or without third party support.  combining console and mobile spaces into a single platform may sound like a difficult task but nintendo is a leader in games and has the technical expertise to pull it off.  no doubt about it, nintendo will absolutely dominate generation eight point five.

How would this fusion device work? Every version I here people talk about sounds horrible.

Here's how I think a fusion like device could actually be great on the go and at home.

The system is just a handheld!  Yay! 3DS design or whatever Nintendo wants. Thus it can be the best hand held possible, not limited by fusion.

Then for home play, the handheld is placed on a dock kinda like the 3DS charging dock. This dock has video out and a disc drive. Then either more fusion devices are used as gamepads, but most people would just buy pro controllers since they cost less.

Here's the magic though. The home dock is hooked up to the wall, and has extra cooling. That means the handheld when on the dock can run much faster and produce much better graphics. It's like the vita. The hardware itself is basically downclocked. It's cheaper to build stuff this way most of the time. If vita was pushed to max, it'd melt in your pocket and use up the battery in minutes.

So the fusion as a handheld has the power of a handheld, but on the dock it's supercharged and has the power of a home console. This design saves so much money, and makes each experience the best it can be.

I've never been a believe that the fusion actually exists.
