So it took me an hour and a half for the first chapter. Take away 15min or so of me posting on this. I did what I do for every game with collectibles. I clear the area then search the area. I read a comment about the guy playing through the game in 5 hours. One poster pointed out that he skipped environment interaction. Then someone said they don't add anythin,  but they do. Just like every letter of the last of us and every memo in Resident Evil, I read a news article about two gruesome murders.

10m to get through chapter two. Story driven and character introductions.

Honestly, after the first two chapters I'd like to have a man to man conversation with some reviewers. I'd like to press them and make them defend their review. Unless this game ttotally tanks from here on out then the scores are unjustified. Even then, it still doesn't justify a 2/10. I wish there was some more diversity in these forums from people who played it, but so far the ones who have here are enjoying themselves.

Hour in. First impressions.

Graphics: Ace.
Environment: Ace.
Acting: Ace.
Characters: Ace.
Story: not long enough playtime to judge.
Gameplay: Solid.

Also, what third person shooter allows you to crawl to safety to be able to revive (without coop)? Most games, you get knocked down and you're done. Next try. I found that to be unique. But according to reviewers it's not unique? Another unique feature is the secondary fire for the rifle. It's for close combat and it's like a shot of air pressure to push the guy back and make them stumble.

I agree with all this, this was my evaluation of the game pretty much all the way through, exceot I'd say the story is gripping but finishes a bit too early.

Played it on normal, looked at quite a lot of the collectables but I didn't search for them too hard. I didn't read the newspaper articles

I'm playing on hard without aim assist. I also explore (like with every game with collectibles /interaction),  read the notes (like every game with side stories told through items around the world. Think RE books and TLoU). I've read three news articles. One on gruesome murders, one on invention of motor cars and one on the skirmish that the Knights were involved in at the beginning. I'm over two hours in. Any idea what chapter? 3. The length will be fine for mme. 10+ hours. First playthrough for me on hard for TLoU with reading collectibles and exploring? 23 hours.

i bet you if the news paper articles weren't actually a news paper and when you picked it up a generic text box popped up (like the last of us and Re) more people would have realized they are part of the story and read them more... Which would definitely add to playtime. Maybe that's what RAD needed to get better review scores. Break their cinematic gameplay with breaking the game immersion.

love the gun play,  story is great, graphics awesome, but a few things need a bit of work lol qte's while giving you written instructions at the same time aint fair lol 

switching shoulders is frustrating as hell,  its very unresponsive.  and why its set to off and buried in the options ill never know lol
