Very good changes. One step along the way to encouraging more activity :)

Now we just need good things in the shop!

Oh hey! How about op in forum ads that increase the bank interest?

Then money from those ads could be used for real objects in the store?

Each user has an option to turn on/off forum ads. Basically adblock built into the forum. With them enabled, users make slightly more money.

No sorry that was me.

The interest was applied like 2,000 times after I rebooted the server, so I just manually kinda fixed the bank. Shouldn't happen again.

That's actually a very good idea.

I was thinking of a system of investing points into people's threads, maybe to get them stickied. Here's what I have so far.

Every 3(or so, depending on if they have ads on) views to your thread, you get 1 credit(or so). If someone invests their credits into getting a thread stickied, they will get a percentage of the "revenue" from the views of the thread. The percentage will depend on how much of the percentage they invested to get it stickied.

Or something along these lines. Problem I see is that I'm pretty sure the credits are an int(unless you say otherwise), and you can't get a half or third of a credit.

Yeah they are ints, but view counts and thread credits could be calculated daily in order to get around that.
