It was starting to look like a Kaizar thread.
(Sorry that's so mean.)

Haha this isn't even my worst thread like this.

Alright, finally watched the whole thing.
Didn't know all about the Eurogamer stuff, but really all they are doing is changing the scale.  It's like saying
"Let's build a bridge so that trucks can get across this river."
"I brought 20 feet of rope, let's just use that instead."

Completely misrepresents the problem and doesn't fix anything.
Makes things worse, because you might have truckers who decide they can drive on that rope.  Which in this case isn't that bad, in more related terms, it might be a disappointing game.

Something I think would be better would be to keep the review scores, have as many reviews as possible.  Instead of Eurogamer gave _______ game a 3/5, how about Jim from Eurogamer gave ______ game a 3/5.  He and you had similar feelings with ________ __________ game.  Rather instead of getting rid of review scores, how about we set up systems to make the review scores smarter and more applicable to an individual.  We've got similar things on online shops, why not promote such a thing for metacritic?
