Did you finish Dragon Quarter?

I enjoyed the gameplay and the music int he game. The storyline and characters I do agree makes it the worst but gameplay and music were fantastic.

You should give #1 and #2 a chance - play the GBA versions since they are less grindy.
I had to game shark to finish Dragon Quarter. Cause you know, explaining the item linker was too much for Capcom. Plus lacking healing spells and inns, having the dragon counter with instant game over when it reaches 100, pure stupidity. That alone makes it one of the worst games I've played. The combat was good, the game was terrible.

Man you are weaksauce lol.

I finished the game at least twice.

You cant beat the game at the first run either which is why they have the New Game+ option throughout the entire game - where you can transfer exp and items over in the locker room. The farther you get into the game - the more cutscenes you unlock each time you play the game so its like a new experience storyline wise and it also opens up newer locations throughout the different areas you go to which lead to better items, skills, etc.

Also I never used the dragon form until the end of the game where I had to fight the regents (main bad guys) only because I had to destroy their shield.

When I finished the game my D-Counter was at 98.8%. Storyline wise it'll go past 100% in the last boss fight btw ;p.

I loved the challenge and I am looking forward to recording the game in the future once I get better hardware.

Like I said, Capcom did a poor job of explaining things.  I was on my third try when I said "screw it". Plus the dragon counter goes up with each step.  Very poorly designed game.

Its still possible to finish the game even with the Dragon counter going up (dont use D-Rush or the Dragon form) - they made it exactly like Resident Evil Outbreak where you have a counter since your character is infected.

Anyways I agree its a poor choice to include in a game like Breath of Fire - but it didnt hinder me that much.

;o!

I never said it was impossible, I said Capcom didn't do a good job of explaining anything.  So many poor choices made in that game.  Plus the way they locked the grinding out.  When I did get to the last dungeon, it was overly difficult and you couldn't even level up since the enemy count is set.

I guess you can play Dark Cloud 2.

It is amazing and maybe the most complete JRPG created.

The PS2 version is discounted on PSN.
