Lol. I know amaozn isn't the place to buy a ps4 right now. But xbox at number 1 and ps4 at 40 is quite the difference.

Amazon lacking the GTA bundle is a huge thing to consider. It's the one that most people are after. It doesn't help that Amazon has still done a terrible job showing the free game deal.

CBoat is probably right.  They also won't be able to say they "won" NDP if the 7-10k is right because it can easily be the same on the other side.  If MS said they "won" just for NDP to adjust and for Sony to actually "win" it'll be a PR fiasco to the higher ups.  I'm sure they're keeping hush hush as to not to get the attention of the management who's all to ready to kill the division.  Sony's also in a tight spot since it's possible they outsold the Xbox One due to the margin of error.  But they could have lost so they can't say the same.  The PR department's probably trying to find the right wording.

It is. Stores are struggling to keep it in stock. That doesn't mean people are just going to suddenly go with buying a $400 PS4 with no games when there's a chance for another shot at the bundle. Plus, like I said, Amazon has done a piss poor job of showing the PS4 free game deal. Stores like Gamestop are making sure people know. So for those not interested in waiting for the GTA bundle they're probably buying a PS4 with a free copy of Far Cry. Also, Walmart is giving away a $50 card with a PS4 bundle purchase. So there's that. Bottomline, Amazon is not the place to buy a PS4 right now.

Sadly for Nintendo, these numbers paint a pretty grim picture for the Wii U. Even more so than the one that it already had. If Mario Kart and Smash Bros can't help it sell anymore than that in November then they really don't have anything else in the wings to push sales. Those were two of its heaviest hitters for wide appeal.

Someone on GAF pointed out that right now it looks like the Wii U will do worse than the Gamecube by a significant amount if nothing changes.
