They could give free Xbox One's to the homeless and include them as sales.
Legend made me remove this. Everybody riot.

Or make a new company and sell millions to them!

math in OP is wrong :P and backwards bundling a game does not cause you to pay less ($290) for a console you still pay $349... a bundled game is not a rebate, but added value
more accurate to say you are getting a $410 value for only $350

also the Xone is $50 dollars less than the ps4 not 60 - .01
399.99 - 349.99 = 50

if a new customer wants a system and 1 game (which lets me honest everyone buys 1) a xbox + game is $350 while a ps4 + game is $460.

the math isn't wrong it is an adjustment to make it an apples to apples comparison.  no matter how you slice it xbox is currently $110 cheaper than ps4.

Enable B/C with xbox360 games and peripherals would entice a lot of people who had/have a 360 or even ones who were planning to get a 360 to get a Xbox One instead.

you know that tech wise that just isn't going to happen.  going from this gen to next probably yes but it's not just going to happen with the dramatic shift in technology this gen took to be more developer friendly.

I can understand with the PS3 and its cell technology but whats with the xbox360 whose design is more of a PC than the PS3 was.

Proof in point is the fact there's plenty of xbox exclusive titles both first and third party which were easily ported over to PC. I'm sure the Xbox One design is similar to the PC as well.

I know they wont do it because their gonna cash onto people re-buying everything again , sadly that is the norm from the looks of it....

360 is a lot closer to a pc then the ps3 but it still isn't directly portable.  that's the thing with BC,.. someone has to got through title by title and make the fixes to allow it to run on next gen hardware.   the work might not be a lot but other than a few select titles they wouldn't sell either so who's going to do the work?  the answer is no one and the few that do are going to be new titles (aka cross gen titles) and are going to be sold at full price.

I see XB1 at 10 and 15 and 22. PS4 at 14. That's surely more than 2:1 still

Could be a massive gap between 14 and 15. This is why you cant put too much analysis into rankings....

This is not good for the X1 if it cannot maintain high sales for an extended amount of time. The X1 may have gotten the largest boost it has ever had this year, but this kind of strategy isn't sustainable for the long-term. How the X1 will do from January to October next year is very concerning... :S

I think the sales will be the same steady levels as they are now.

This generation is looking more and more like the PS2/Xbox/GCN era although not exactly...but give it a few years and it might as well be.

The difference what I think makes it a way other era is that Xbox was new in that gen and was willing to spend hundreds of millions to become a familliar brand, but this gen they've already spend billions and that didn't even help them out that much.
They are still (over)compensating the fiasco of the XOne-announcement and the fiasco's that followed ...

Well I just doubt there's a massive gap there. It's not that likely.
