The device does not support 1080p resolution, and actually defaults to 720p — which is arguably better for games, but problematic for video.

Yeah they should have at least beefed up the specs enough for that before they released in Japan.  I'm guessing they have a bunch of manufactured Vita's they have to make use of.

Well considering I was at a target yesterday and couldn't even find one, I sadly think they're pretty good :(
