That's because most of these countries don't actually feel like a launch and all but one major market already saw it release almost a year ago. The X1 was already being purchased by people in most of the countries it's launching in now. I'm sure you know that but that would explain why there is really no hype surrounding its launch anywhere else. That and, honestly, the X1 is just not a big deal outside of North America.

People suggesting that this isn't a US problem are dead wrong. I bought 5...YES 5...Xbox Ones without Kinect in July from Amazon and Target. Every bloody one of them exhibited this awful problem. Fortunately both Amazon and Target let me keep returning them. Eventually I just gave up. Same thing every time:

1 - plug it into the wall, attach it to tv, begin the mandatory update

2 - No noise whatsoever during the update.

3 - update finishes and Xbox One restarts. The noise kicks in immediately upon restart

4 - noise is constant and loud in all apps and in the menus

5 - noise goes away when a game is started

6 - Major Nelson, Phil Spencer, Albert all ignore my desperate tweets for assistance

7 - Customer Support tells me to keep returning them to the store

8 - I gave up and bought a PS4

Can't believe this problem is still going unaddressed by Microsoft. Just look at Youtube and you'll see that people have been having this issue since launch in the US.
