well crud,.. i skipped the beta because i hate ruining my first impressions of a game with half a game.   so whatever the right term is i want to raid stuff with a group not be competitive.
From what they said raids are tough, long and require a lot of teamwork. Strikes are easier and more relaxed but they are both similar

3 coop vs 6 coop

I guess it will be way different :D

Raids have puzzle/enigma too... Strikes not.

Strikes seem like they'll be less rewarding as well, as such you can do them as much as you want but raids are once a week. So much hype!

i was among the lower leadership of a guild that started out unable to get 40 guys in a room to start molten core to a guild that could regularly take down nefarian.   bring on the long and lots of teamwork because learning those fights was the most fun i've ever had gaming.   raids are the best.

but from what you said,.. raids require guilds and strikes can be done with pugs i'm guessing.

Not guilds, you only need 6 people (6 is max) for a raid but the guy in the interview said that raids are designed for you to be on voice chat with friends/ people that you play with a lot because they require a lot of teamwork . While, yes, strikes are easy enough to pay with pretty much everyone and 3 people if the max

We should set one up. Depends who wants to be the leader, best place to discuss this is in the Destiny thread though!

Has CoD even been that hyped this year?  Past games always seemed to have quite a bit of hype between E3 and it's release.  It may be that Destiny is releasing first so it's taking all the hype right now.  I still think CoD is gonna have it's worst year for sales by a lot and it won't help MS's consoles as much as it did in the past.

Also no Tier 2 will not do much to help.  Outside of US and UK the X1 seems to have literally zero hype.  And as others have said in most of the tier 2 countries you can buy the X1 already.

What is the price of PS4 in SA?

Current price of PS4 in SA is R6800 (~$680 usd) - this is for the standalone :(

Price of X1 will be R6300 (~$630 usd) - this is including Fifa and Forza.

This might just be the preorder price of X1 and not the full retail, however its still a really good bundle.

Whats even worse is the discrepancy between 360 and PS3 (which has remained for the entire generation)...the bundles MS put out are consistently better than what Sony does. Quite frankly i think Sony is simply going for bigger margins in certain regions, where they generally dominate and dont sell too much units anyways.
Vizioneck STILL not banned at my workplace \O/

Sony are easily making a big profit there.... price should be dropped imo. Whats the XB vs PS situation like down there?

I also dont think tier 2 countries are as insignificant as some might think...

However, the tier 2 countries tend to be Sony dominated :P

Both points spell bad news for XBO

Those prices include VAT btw.

Marketshare could easily be 60 - 40 to Sony or even more...( no idea how nintendo fits in, the Wii has obviously had a massive impact)

Sony has a strong history in our country though. They were the first company to really push gaming in a lot of the minor regions. This really paid off with PS1, PS2 and even PS3. The legacy is strong.

Pretty close then..... I wonder how much price has to do with that

I don't think they're insignificant markets.

I just think most of them in Europe have been importing XBOX ONE already at fair prices.
