And also I'm very serious about this amazon thing. We could calculate relative percent sales very accuratly. Then with NPD data and the like we could convert the percents to actual sales data.

WiiU needs to be adjusted down. Just over a week of sales on shelves is not possible.

Wait how do you calculate percent sales?

Dr. Pezus

And LOL, 3DS keeps getting adjusted up despite shipments disagreeing. Will make VGC look bad when Nintendo releases the next set of numbers.

Trade Secret.
AKA
Just do some massive number crunching comparing hourly, weekly, monthly, and yearly charts. For example we saw that Destiny PS4 bundle jump from spot 98 on the yearly list to spot 94 on the yearly list in just a day. That means we know in one day on Amazon Destiny bundle sold the difference between those two positions. By doing these type of calculations for every single item for every single chart the program would have exact percent ranges that the items mathematically must fall between. The longer the system runs for, the smaller the ranges become.

It'd take some work to set up, but if we made the system fully automated it could give us some very accurate results.

Yeah, so let's get on this! We'll use this server to collect the data, but I'll have the actual calculations run locally on my pc. They'd be very ram heavy.

There are a lot of programs that already can get data from websites. This'd just be an extension of that.

I'll do some research. Don't think I can spend too much time on it though.
