We tried something similar and it just looks horrible without redesigning the rest of the site with it.

Yellow means new post

Green means quote

Blue means sticky

Red means locked

Square means you have posted in the topic

Diamond means you have not posted in the topic.

the blue really pops compared to the green you choose.   make blue quotes and green stickies?   i think the point of the color is to draw your eye to the most important threads and that blue is just,..  too sexy.

We can switch them, but the blue "pin" icon is a problem then.

not sure that the pin icon being blue is that big of a deal.  i don't think i'd drop that.   i'm just saying,.. from a color wheel perspective green and yellow are very close so it can be difficult to distinguish them at a glance.  blue is further away so it pops more.



also, i noticed you moved the first/last post icons together.   daddy like but you might want to consider new art for them.  the art is kind of hard to read.  these are pretty universal,.. just as an example.

The title is about as small as you can get it while still being noticiably larger than the other text.

I like the bigger icons because they space everything out a bit and make it less intimidating.


Plus they're still pretty efficient. With 40px icons we can fit 20 threads in the space it takes vgchartz to fit 17.

Just a question... I checked and the Hot Topics shows the actual post icon and not the thread icon... I can change that if you wish.

IMO I do like the old text size and the icons at 30px but that is me
