bluepoint might be the biggest disappoint for me.

to go from amazing demon's souls remake to a failed GaaS game and studio closure is such an epic management failure.

Did you go and speak to him?

no.

it's an out door venue which means everyone stands and there are no seats.   my group was hanging out near the back.   there was a break after sleater-kinney and "mark" walked from the front-ish of the venue directly at me passing within inches of my on his way to the bathroom/food.

so like i got a really close look but also i'm not one to pester a celebrity so i didn't stop him or anything.

it probably wasn't him but dang nabbit it was him.   my one friend's response was "it's a liz phair concert.   every 10th guy looks like mark cerny and so does every 38th girl..."   his point was not entirely wrong,.. mark's look was a good fit for the audience:

Yeah, I'm not sure if I would ever go to a celebrity.  What if it just looks like them, and then, the dude who's not the actor, just fully rolls with it, and then you're talking to a guy, who's not the guy, pretending to be the guy, and you thought you met the guy, but you didn't.

for me its mostly human empathy.

i would never want to be a celebrity because that idea that leaving the house in any capacity means being followed by paparazzi and hounded by "fans" demanding you chat with them a minute and take a selfie.  i get interaction with fans is part of the job but everyone needs a break from work sometimes.  if the only place a celebrity can have some rest is in their home i think i'd feel imprisoned.

so like, unless i see a celebrity in some context where interaction feels appropriate (for mark cerny that would be like seeing him at TGS) then i just feel like i'd be an bumb to demanding a selfie.

Pretty cool!

But mark cerny isn't a celebrity haha. He's probably fringe enough to not be overwhelmed with people wanting to say hi.
