I'm guessing it has its own SoP coming soon otherwise why not announce this at the previous one

Dr. Pezus

BasilZero

They just made a video to announce the release date but show no footage lol

Better than an announcement video for an announcement I guess lol

Interesting. It looks good but it wasn't like wow this looks amazing. I'm sure I'll enjoy it a lot though. For some reason though it just feels like it's a game people just want to hate for no reason

And not going to lie I feel like the Sony physical disc issue might make some reviewers bitter and drop scores just because they can

I guess I'll see when I play it. Lol

sony lost the conversation.

there is a fairly large and vocal group that hate playstation and want to kill it now.  the GaaS and physical stuff make sony the bad guy of the industry.

which is absolutely ridiculous. It sucks, but it was always inevitable that discs would go away.  If people really cared that much outside of hardcore collectors they would buy every game on disc.

i saw an article talking about the "rise in physical media" where the headlining stat was:
- so far in in 2026 CD sales have risen ~50% YoY.

The article went on to proclaim how physical media is regaining its importance in the face of evil tech and had a big section dunking on sony.

then my local radio station picked it up and funny enough they had waaay more details/context about the story:
1. yes, in 2026 CD sales rose ~50% but in 2025 and 2024 each sales decline like 20% each.  so sales in 2026 are less than in 2023.
2. total sales in 2026 are <2% of typical physical sales in the 90's
3. and this was the most intriguing part to me,.. 64% of people buying CDs in 2026 say they actually don't have any way to actually listen to the CD.  they were merely buying it as a collectors item.

77 metacritic too. When was the last time they had a first party game not hit the 80s?

I didn't read the entire ign review and only saw a blurb but it sounds like a higher than 6 game to me. Seems it's pretty solid but the combat just doesn't hold throughout.
