very negative.  

we played TMNT shredders revenge together and i thought he liked it.  it was when i showed him marvel cosmic invasion that this first came up.  he really went on a rant about how ugly pixel art is.

I don't hate it, but it's not my kind of art style.

Animal Well is the only time I've really loved it. That game made it cool and part of the vibe.

Otherwise I agree. It's just very basic feeling.

i only got about 1 hour into animal well.

either a found a bug in the game design or the game design is incredibly obtuse.   either way i got into a part of the game where that i can't get out of it.

i have to say i didn't love 2 as much as 1 simply because the new puzzle mechanics didn't change up the core gameplay enough for me.   also i just feel like in general the game had much easier puzzles.

that said,.. i still love the franchise and i'm definitely getting this.

I loved the story and world and vibe of Talos 2, but puzzles were just ok. Nothing awesome imo.

likely means 2026.   

talos principle 2 launched Nov 2 2023 so it's been less than 3 years and in that time they also had a pretty meaty dlc.  they most be doing something right to put these out so quick and i appreciate it.  these might not be graphic showcases but they are defiantly good looking games and it's great to not have to wait a decade to get the next game.
