so about that wall i hit....

30:08  - 8.6 min/mile

I've got a good explanation though.  last week it was 86 F.  Today it is 63 F.   it was soooo much easier to run today.   i barely broke a sweat.

I haven't been running much, but I've been trying to keep 3x at the gym a week.  I've been going at night though.  I haven't been able to wake up early enough.

150 total run miles since I started! Funny just how badly I fell off a cliff with surgery. Hit 100 way way back in May.

I don't like working out at night or in the morning. I still don't have a routine sorted out.

I like working out in the morning, but my sleeping has been off.

I tend to do my workouts in the morning but I'm am absolutely not a morning person and don't really like getting straight up and working out.  But then I don't really like doing it in the evening cause I like using that time to start winding down from the day.

I want to attempt doing it more around lunch time and see if that's better

routine is key.  whatever the time have a set time.   I do lunch hour and I like that.

Yeah when I'm consistent it's nice to have it done in the morning

Now start increasing distance instead of speed. Great job! 👊

not going to do that too soon.   i don't want to overdo it.   maybe in a few weeks i'll add more distance.  if you remember i said there is a 0.7 loop on my path.  currently I do 1 loop but 2 loops means 3.5 + 0.7 = 4.2 miles.

..but i kind of have a limit on the other side.  if i can do 3.5 miles in 30 minutes than 4.2 miles should be not less than 36 minutes.   and 3 loops is 4.9 miles in not less than 42 minutes.    i do this on my lunch "hour" which i put in quote because i already take 90 minutes between workout, shower, and actually eating something.   i can't let this drift into my lunch "3 hours"...

so over the weekend i found a website that listed out times for runners by age.   i was dismayed to see my time didn't qualify as "novice".   i was running a 8.5 min/mile and i'm suppose to be doing 7:38 min/mile to qualify as "intermediate".   so today was my "fudge you guy on the internet that tells me i'm mediocre" run.

29:07.   8.32 min/mile.

i guess i'm mediocre because it was really hard to keep that pace up.  it took all the determination i had to finish that last half mile and not give up.   ...and in the end that's not even much of an improvement on last week's run.

Progress is what matters.

And it's really hard to make progress at some point, unless you're real committed.

Plus it is so hard to judge. There will always be people who finish the olympics dead last, as I always say.

Lol i do meal planning. Everything is set the night before.

Was getting ready for bed and setting my plan for tomorrow. Somehow I forgot about a whole chicken mac n cheese! Was supposed to be my dinner today. Oops.

Edt: i saw froot loop protein shakes at the store. I love stupid food. Probably what made me forget about dinner.
