I didn't see the trailer, but I saw some promo art for it.  I think Samus' armour looks worse than the motorcycle does.  But yeah, we'll see how this goes, I'm not against the idea, but I think they need to scale things back down to get into a groove of things.  It's been like, 15 years since Metroid Prime 3, save that extra stuff for Metroid Prime 5.

So in one of my posts i said this:

 "all this trailer did for me was tell me that the developers have no f'ing clue what the ethos of metroid is."
 

i thought i wrote it here but apparently not.   must just be a conversation i had with IRL people.   all i'm saying is going as far back as super metroid you could get a "speed booster" power up for the suit.   prime 4 could have easily added a "speed ball" form that allows samus to race though open desert areas in her morph ball and be consistent with the ethos of metroid.   

instead they went with a janky looking motor cycle.   like serious wtf am i supposed to make about the motor cycle being able to take out baddies when operated sideways?!?!

3. but most importantly,..  metroid is not a metal franchise.  all this trailer did for me was tell me that the developers have no f'ing clue what the ethos of metroid is.  i'm now convinced that this will be a bad game.    not just not-great,.. straight up bad.  omg did that motorcycle footage look bad.

Yup if she transformed into the bike it would have been cooler.

ew, not transform into a bike.   morphball with a "speed" powerup.   the original metroid prime already had a "boost ball" powerup.  just needed to extend that to long distances.
