All for the glorification of game pass!

Phil killed Xbox. Sad.

Worldwide probably 5m at best. Terrible. Especially when it's supposed to be close to peak (like a year after peak year).

You'd think as head of Xbox he would have access to a lot more data then me and yet I had enough data to call this years ago.

how do you look at the data that says console attach rate is like 7-10 games per generation and that console have around 200 million units per gen across all consoles and come to the conclusion that game pass will get hundred of millions of subscribers.

how much koolaid do you have to drink to think those millions of people playing games like Scrabble on Mobile just needed a cloud streaming option in order to be convinced to play games like halo...

Yeah. I wonder if he killed xbox one too. Don Mattrick was head of xbox at the time but Phil was head of their studios, and the lack of games was the biggest problem.

I don't like assuming responsibility though. Who knows, maybe to this day Phil is awesome and has been fighting his higher ups against this stuff.

It is so weird. Everyone was worried about smartphones killing the game industry, but PS4 showed that wouldn't happen. And then microsoft and others embraced that future anyway. Gaming needed to grow by attracting players inward, not by making it so accessible it's diluted.
