oh jeez that dialog was soo bad with respect to "frame rate".   like when even i find it jarring its really really bad.

i find it really odd when developers market basic gameplay mechanics as a feature of their game...   "our game features bosses that have several phases that ramp up in complexity"

Yeah we're 30 fps guys. The pc crowd is going to tank this game unless it can be disabled or moded

so not confirmed for ps5.   oh well.  i probably would have gotten it on ps5 (on sale) but i'm not playing it on my broken steamdeck.

this game has a great art style.  i wish this wasn't turn based.

Was a bit negative towards South of Midnight going into today's show so I'm not the best judge, but that was a poor showing. Ignoring the framerate, was there anything interesting? As you said it was primarily basic stuff that we always assumed was there.

kena didnt' exactly light the world on fire but i loved it.  south of midnight won't light the world on fire but it's a type of game i love.   it's probably as "mid" as ninja gaiden but ninja gaiden doesn't tickel my fancy where kena/south of midnight does.

but i agree,.. it wasn't great marketing and the art style decision of "terrible frame rate" is really tone deaf to the market these days.

I'm liking everything that writer is saying. I hope she pulls it off. Expedition 33 might be my most hyped game right now

i think it looks like a great game in a genre i don't love.   a compelling showing none-the-less.
