I watched alien Romulus. Started slow but overall I thought it was pretty great. Had a good mix of every past alien film except Covenant. Loved when the Prometheus theme played for a bit, I think that might be the most iconic melody in a modern movie.

Watched the Wild Robot. 

Not the movie I expected.  

Visually had some gorgeous moments. But I feel like the visuals could be better. 

Overall it was a very good movie, but I don't think I loved it as much as some others. A big part of it for me is that there are some parts that to me feel like they should come from a different movie. 

Probably give it an 8/10 or so.

I watched Furiosa. Such a weird movie. Makes the previous Mad Max feel like a fluke. The direction here is incomprehensible at times.

Also I like Anya Taylor Joy a lot but she was a horrible Furiosa. 90% of her shots just looked like a scrawny kid just standing there. It's like no one told her the camera was rolling. I like Tom Hardy and it just goes to show how great he was as a mostly silent protagonist.

I thought it was still very good. The way people talk about it though, I was expecting a 10/10 movie. Maybe I'll put it up higher after rewatching.

On a semi-related note, I kind of appreciate how movie/tv show announcements, physical release announcements are so spread out through the year. 

I can look forward to new Warner Archive announcements every month, and I can look forward to a new Superman trailer being released like a week before Christmas. I can look forward to The Social Network randomly getting a 4k steel book announced this week. 

It almost feels like there's some kind of surprise practically every week.
