So far the load stats look great! 260 people right now and it feels identical to when I was alone testing.

Oh that's funny. I never used the jump to thing like that. I always clicked "Home" on the left in the link tree.

(And I'm totally open to removing VizionEck from the start of the link tree, I keep accidentally clicking it)

Edt: oh lower link tree is gone on mobile too. I'll bring that back.

on web i always use the "home" link on the the left in the link tree as well.   but if i remember right the leftmost part of the tree took us to the forum home and now it takes us to the main vizioneck page.   i've adjusted for today but i'd prefer if we got right of that link back to the main vizioneck page.  i've navigated to the wrong place a lot today.

...but yes, i was specifically talking about mobile.   the "link tree" has never been on the mobile page so i've always used the "jump to" thing.   you made a change for me a long time ago to make "jump to" always default to home.   it no longer seems to do that on web and isn't even there on mobile.

The jump to is supposed to start wherever you are currently, but I can see why starting at home could make sense too. For now I enabled the bottom linktree on mobile and got rid of the vizioneck front page link. Once I clean up other things I can circle back and see if you'd still prefer using the jump to button for that.

the tree has "word wrap" applied so I think it's taking up more height.  maybe you could take out the self referring thread title part of the thread links.    I wouldn't personally use that at least since I always want to go "home"

Yeah I'll try out different ways of compressing it on mobile. Maybe a ... to cut out the category and board names, like how page numbers get a ... when they get too long.

I use the thread title sometimes since it jumps to the first post.

There's something different about the scale of things. I'm still trying to figure out how that happened.

Also are you mobile or desktop? Desktop is like 99% the same while mobile has had more changes. I think I need to make the mobile popup menus have a better "feel."

doesn't feel like a big change overall to me.  not much to "get used to" imo.

Normal people: not that different. 

Me: oh gosh the font is slightly different and so are the icons and so is the spacing. And now there's an "extra" button on mobile.

Do let me know if anything feels wrong, not just off. I've been fixing css and javascript bugs all day and there is plenty still glitched.


Also after a few days, let me know what feels off. I don't want to force changes for the sake of changes.



I'm just so happy with how it's running though. Full migration to a new empty server. No more managed hosting, 100% control over everything. We can start growing again instead of shutting down features and having regular outages.

did you change the order/position of the "save draft", "preview", and "post" buttons?

all day I've been saving drafts when I mean to post and I'm honestly not sure if anything even changed.
