I really like the Donkey Kong coaster. I worry though that the park will feel a bit empty though. It has a great amount of rides for a new theme park but it's been so long since there has been a new American theme park.

I did Disney not so long ago.  hollywoid studios and animal Kingdom are old now and still feel like half-day parks.

I can easily spend multiple days at Animal Kingdom since I love the theming but yeah hollywood studios is a half day park.

Epic Universe has a Mario land with 2 big rides, a monster land with 1 big ride and a short coaster, a harry potter land with 1 big ride, a dragon land with a family coaster, and celestial park with a coaster. Plus super small things that don't matter. Including absolutely everything, it has 11 rides.

At least by my count that's not better than Hollywood Studios.

36 "things to do". I only counted 9 rides so i guess its relative to how you count the stage experiences.   There is more than 2 but only a couple are worth it imo.

All Epic Universe rides. I'll let you judge for yourself.

1. Mario kart dark ride with ar*
2. Yoshi omnimover kid ride
3. Donkey Kong coaster with lots of theming*
4. Harry Potter dark ride*
5. Frankenstien dark ride*
6. Werewolf spinning coaster, kinda small
7. How to train dragon coaster, kinda small
8. Dragon boat ride that is ~20 feet long, no joke
9. Dragon flat ride, just spin in air
10. Carosaul (i don't know how to spell, who cares)
11. Space themed coaster, out in the open*

5, the * ones, are ones I wouldn't mind waiting in line for.

so what I'm hearing is that some are small.  well I think some of the Hollywood studios rides are small too.  the toy story area has 3/11 rides and all are small and lame.

my main point is Hollywood studios is really old and even if it has the edge it's not by much.

we can redo the exercise with animal Kingdom if you want but I was pretty much disappointed by that one too.

this new park will be fine so long as
1. what rides it does have are amazing.   I'll add to this point by saying in my trip to Disney/universal my top two attractions were both in universal.

2. grow over time.   expectation for a brand new park will be moderated.  but 10+ years from now people won't be as forgiving if the park stays small.
