That last minute translation really worried everyone. Looked like it was going to slam into the tower! Programed so that if something goes wrong before that point it won't crash into the launch pad.

~9 years after they landed their first Falcon 9. They really are a decade ahead of everyone else. Blue Origin will be the first other company to even attempt a rocket landing, once their New Glenn launches next year. China has reusability in development, rocket lab has fished boosters out of the ocean, and a few startups are working on booster reuse. No one, except maybe stoke, is seriously working on anything that even has the possibility of full reuse like starship.
