September is looking good.

Wow. FAA now doesn't expect their side of the paperwork to be finished till November.

This tweet is timed with a hearing in Congress to hopefully get things fixed. Just crazy that the slowest part of returning to the Moon is dealing with the FAA. What a joke of an organization at times.

Legend

Been a lot of faa talk in congress and that seems to have pushed them to do their job. Flight could be Sunday.

Launch license secured! Seems like congress or part of the DoD saved the day. A California commission just revealed they were illegally blocking SpaceX launches for political reasons, so it doesn't seem farfetched that the FAA was doing something similar. Crazy that this is becoming so common. Sucks that Disney didn't win their fight against Desantis, but that's getting off topic.

Anyway, flight is tomorrow morning. They will be attempting to catch the booster mid air with giant robot arms.

Landing the booster will be super cool, but I think I'm actually a bit more worried/interested in how the ship will do. Will it survive reentry again? Was the previous flight a fluke? Catching will work if the rest of the system is working, so that's more of a validation of stuff.

2026 flights to Mars, heck freaken yeah

Legend

Looks like foam or a leak on the ground under the rocket. Don't think I've seen that on previous tests

Legend

Delayed 25 minutes for people in the range. Only 5 minutes left in the window!
