My Philips Sunrise Clock has more or less stopped working this morning.  What a time for this announcement (I'm still gonna get a sunrise alarm clock instead of this).

Well that's really dumb but sure, maybe kids prefer this over using their smartphone.

The sleeping music got me though. Again a smartphone can do it too, but video games have great night music.

i posted the video as soon as i saw it but then had to go to a bunch of meetings.  now that i've watched it my hot take is this product is completely useless and dumb.    ...i really don't need a device to put in my kids room to track their masturbation habits and than connect that to the internet.   i scoff at a lot of "smartDevices" but this might be the worst one yet imo.

...going to read other people's reactions now.   i expect the nintendo fanboys will be lovin' it.

i wish I could get out of bed as nicely as they do in the video.  i'm lucky to roll out of bed at 8:30 before my 20ft commute. lol

not as warm of a reception as i would have expected.    a few people saying they want one but most making fun of it.

firstly,..   $100 is too much for an alarm clock.  people aptly pointed out there are things on the market with waaay more features at half the cost.   that mario tax is insane here.

secondly,.. it doesn't even come with a power cord.

thirdly,.. apparently it doesn't work if your mattress size is single.   for some reason you need at least a twin which is kind of surprisingly limiting thing.   the market here i would think is kids and a lot of kids have single sized mattresses.  

finally,.. creepy AF to have an internet connected device watching me sleep.
