Yeah those types of community puzzles just suck if you want to solve things yourself. They rely on one player getting lucky and sharing that info with others. Fromsoft games are a bit better at this, at least in some ways right? Like I know they have invisible doors sometimes but they're telegraphed right?

I hope that astrobot has some good puzzles.

I'd say a lot of them are.

I think a big thing is a difference of expectations.

If you have a puzzle that you need 100% of players to get through to play your game, the expectations are very different than a puzzle that you're okay to have 0% of players figuring out.

The bots are pretty much the latter. They're pretty much just goofy Easter eggs.

Even if they weren't telegraphed, it's still easier than these bot puzzles. It's a lot easier to swipe at every wall in the game than:
Spoilering a couple solutions
Spoiler for Hidden:
One puzzle involves leaving an enemy alone, so that it can kill you in a specific location.

One puzzle involves walking on some starfish in a specific order randomly spread across the level.
if you played returnal i think that one is more obvious than the need to sit in that 1 specific spot in order to start the process. i misread the guide a bit and spent at least 5 mintues trying to activate that bot with no success on the wrong ledge. returnal and that thing you needed to do is like fundamental to the game.

the GT one has audio feedback. the GT one i probably could have figure out for myself if i had actually wanted to solve things myself. their was audio feedback on the last part of that puzzle too. it was just finding that object that would have been difficult without the guide.

i have no familiarity with the ape escape franchise but i highly doubt i could have figured out that one by myself even if i had.

Yup. I have 70 hours into it... And I don't think I'm close to finishing it yet.

kind of happy for this as next few months are stacked. Almost feels like that is part of the reason. Plus the star wars reception.

Don't remember an AC game getting delayed before. Yeah after star wars it wouldn't hurt to have more polish.

Didn't they delay one for a year before when they changed from yearly to every two year schedule?

They skipped a year but I think the game still released when they said it would.

Yeah I guess. The first game was delayed a lot though :P

Looks fine. Outside of hair and cloth physics nothing stood out though.
