Some up, some down.

Bit worried about PS5 hardware sales. Seems to be dropping fast. Any charts to compare with PS4?

PS5 Pro makes a lot more sense now. Hopefully it can keep things charged till PS6.

been a good lull in big games/exlclusives for ps5. So hopefully this holiday/end of year the sales pick up big time.

last i saw they were still pretty neck-to-neck.  afaik this number should put ps5 "noticeably" behind ps4.

PS5 is likely to have a bad back half of the gen.  firstly,.. 1st party software output has been bad.    ...but also all these ports to PC are going to have a toll on it.   to be honest i wouldn't be entirely surprised if ps5 levels out just under ps3's LTD.   true or not people just believe all sony 1st party will end up on PC someday and that there is no point to owning a ps5 if you have a PC.   from the multiplat numbers i saw during the ps3 gen i think only loosing 20% of your console base is being pretty optimistic.

What was it a year ago though? How fast are PS5 and Xbox dropping?

Yeah Sony shooting their own foot with PC and how they've handled 1st party software. Need to give people outside your core audience a reason to want your console.

Sony's biggest market is Europe and the PS5 is just too expensive in that market. The US is resilient enough to withstand those prices but till they do the PS5 to 400 and below they will struggle to move significant units outside of major releases.

Agreed. Even 400 is still a bit expensive but it's time for a PS5 to get a price cut. It's just too expensive at this point.

Playstation sales should have grown this gen. Gaming is growing a lot. It's mainstream now, it's no longer for kids and boys. Everybody is playing.

I honestly think PS5 sales could and should have reached 200 million when it's all said and done. But I think circumstances stopped that from happening

The problem is they're prioritising profit right now and components aren't getting cheaper but eventually they will need to reduce the price even if temporarily just for a couple of months at the end of the year.
