Got to the credits in Toki Tori 2. It's on sale for $1 on steam. Maybe on sale on switch too.

Pretty great. Very simple and a bit rough, feels like a game from the 90s not 2010s, but the puzzles are well done. I think anyone who likes puzzles could really enjoy it for $1.

Finished it 100%.

Pretty good. It's funny how bad the story and pacing are. I think the exact same game with some cutscenes and slight tweaks like that could have been a big hit. Wish the devs were more successful, this is the second game I've played from them. Rubik's World was the first way back as a kid.

I tried it a few years back. I liked it for a bit but i got stuck early. I passed a bunch of "dead ends" and then went pretty for in one direction. Then i got stuck there so i tried going back to my previous "dead ends" but i couldn't. Since you can only fall or climb ladders it was impossible to go back afaik.

After about an hour of not even being able to figure out where to go as none of the paths forward seemed possible i gave up and deleted the game.

Even when i was doing well the game wasn't amazing to me. I kind of preferred the format of the original game of level selection. The "open world" formate made the game worse not better.

Did you never discover fast travel? It was a gutsy move for them to hide mandatory things like that. Maybe just a stupid move. Before I learned how to track collectables on the map it just felt so aimless.

I liked the open world in general since it allowed them to double up on secrets in an area, but the early game felt so random. It needed a sense of direction.

Some of the later puzzles are really great. I was really impressed how complicated things got without introducing new mechanics. Only one puzzle in the game felt moronic and pushed me to look up the solution.

Spoiler for Hidden:
Pitch black room. I managed to get a light down there, then I managed to get a light and bubble frog down there, but nothing helped offer any guidance.

Turns out I just needed to stand in a specific spot way earlier in the level for a few minutes and the path would open
There are birds that chirp specific tunes. The first tune I noticed and tried replicating was fast travel.
