2 things I'm really hating about horizon forbidden west

So I've started horizon forbidden west. I'm still at the start of the game, didn't exit the starting area yet. But there are 2 things that are already bothering me with this game

1- everybody is sucker riding Aloy. Literally everyone praises this character and admires her. fudge Raymond, everybody loves Aloy. And it's frankly quiet annoying. Everybody has haters, and the more prominent you are in life the more haters and enemies you'll get. But that's not the case for Aloy, everybody worships the ground she walks on. And it feels it's because the developers want the player to "feel good". But it's honestly affecting the narrative in a massive way

2- Aloy always gets her way. It seems whatever conversation or interaction happens. Whatever Aloy says, she gets her way. Nobody stands up to her.
In one interaction that really felt like horrible writing, 4-5 oseram wanted to go fetch some loot, and basically Aloy was in their way (to defend some other people). They threatened to fight, and Aloy responded with "really, that's what you wanna do? Fight this out? With me? You sure" and they backed down... Really... 4 or 5 men against one tiny woman and they backed down?

I get that she is the "savior" but this ain't good writing, and seems to be ruining what a generally good story line could be. Just have the main character actually struggle.

It gets better once you're out in new areas, but the writing was often kinda annoying/frustrating to me too.

I loved the game despite that so hopefully you can end up still liking it too.

The gameplay is awesome. And so Is the photomode.

I think of the issues I have is that I'm not really feeling playing the game right now, but I already bought it already started it.

Im wondering if I should play something else and come back to horizon once I'm feeling more in the mood to play it

Yeah don't force yourself to play. I'm used to short games so my definition of "long" might be wildly different than yours, but it's a long game.

It's definitely something I'd consider long.

Some of the early writing in particular is bad and awkward.

Like some of it made no sense in context and was clearly just shoved in there to remind the player of events in the first game.

It bothered me even more, when the exact same point was made a little later and was actually done better.

I don't remember what exact point it was, but I remember thinking it made the inclusion of the first line even worse.

On the game length. I think it's a little tricky. There are some games like Skyrim where the main story can be done in like ~27 hours and then there's tons of side content that can easily take 200 hours.

Horizon I think is definitely a long game.
