Ah yes. Been waiting for this one.

r/4kbluray - Looks like 4K is taking a nice slice of the pie

Can't find the source that it claims on here, but cool if true.

Watched the movie Inglourious Basterds a few days ago.

It's a weird movie. Sometimes it's hard to watch and intense, and other times it feels like a dark comedy.

The opening is excellent, and frankly would make a hard to watch movie on it's own.

Not at all the same thing but I'd also recommend jojo rabbit if you're wanting another nazi movie.

I made it part of my last Disney Movie Club order ever, about two weeks ago.

Just came in today.

Spiderman across the spider verse was absolutely amazing. Just wow. If the 3rd one can live up to the quality of the first two. It will be the greatest super hero set of movies in my opinion.

Everything is just fantastic

I preferred the first one tbh, but still thought the second was good too

Sounds like Inside Out 2 will be huge, and sounds like it is a great movie too.

Hopefully. Disney and theaters in general need a win right now.

Saw this on blu-ray.com

Kind of weird how differences like that can appear on different versions of the same movie. You can click on the image to swap between the blu-ray and 4k versions, but it's like the blu-ray stretches the bottom half of the image.

That is so much worse than I expected. It's not a weird screen distortion, it's a purposeful edit to move his hand into frame. Are you sure those are legit screenshots? Now I really want to compare more frames from the same shot!

They're talking about some scene modifications on blu-ray.com:

Wow. I never would have thought of directors getting the greenlight to do stuff like that for just a basic 4K release. It's not just higher resolution, it's a full revision ala George Lucas and Steven Spielberg. Just a lot more subtle.

I wish that stuff was optional.

Finally watched Oppenheimer the other day.

Good middle surrounded by two bad chunks, a sandwich with moldy bread.

Easy bottom of the list for Nolan films imo. So boring a lot of the time and the writing was just hilariously dorky here and there. A 2 hour edit could have been much better.

Spoiler for Ending talk:
Also this was funny<br><div class="videocontainer"><div><iframe frameborder="0" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/KYJdaydAzl8?origin=https://vizioneck.com&wmode=opaque" data-youtube-id="KYJdaydAzl8" allowfullscreen loading="lazy"></iframe></div></div>

The explosion was also disappointing. I had heard in advance that it was bad and yeah, it was bad. Why the heck did Nolan use real explosives when a few pounds of tnt look absolutely nothing like a nuclear bomb?
