So how much did ps5 ship this quarter? Lots of people have said sales have decreased yoy, but their full year sales look great.

Also is that 58 million a guess for Xbox One, or did we get a legit number for it?

i don't have the numbers in front of me but i read them early.   big decrease YoY but it was like 6 million down to 4 million.    so big decrease but huge quarter.    lots of people doing negative spin and industry dooming but an honest perspective is that this was still one of the biggest quarters ever for sony hardware.

Its down because last year's quarter was insane. It shipped over 6 million last year. This Q it still shipped like 4.2. which is great still. Highest number for PS4 in the same quarter was 2.9

man, people really want consoles to fail don't they.

the kicker being no one is willing to talk about how nintendo switch (~140 million) is much higher than even the goal post of wiiU (~13.5 million) + 3DS (~76 million).  nope.   xbox is dying and thus the only reasonable way to explain it as that all consoles are dying.  not at all an xbox problem.  it's the industry's problem..

Wowza.

Getting awfully close to this old ps2 classic.

Good thing Nintendo is still doing great.

yeah, pretty terrible from xbox but we heard not long ago that in "other" xbox isn't even on the shelves anymore.

day-1 PC.   i'm saying it.   xbox made itself redundant when it went day-1 PC.   especially now that their games are going to playstation there is literally no reason to own an xbox over PC or ps5.   sony better beware that they will be in the same spot if they keep putting all their games on PC.   honestly you can tell that this is already a problem in that xbox is collapsing but ps5 has seen literally no benefit from it.    people are migrating to PC not PS.

This is what happens when you have international presence compared to one just in America.

i wonder how deceptive that is.   i'm still on my ps4 daily in addition to my ps5.

Outside of accidentally bumping it, I don't think my PS4 has been on since 2020.

Why are you still using yours? Different rooms?

yeah, different rooms.

the PS5 is in my "game room".   it's where I retire at night to play video games for myself.

the PS4 is in the living room.   it's on daily for Netflix.   but I also keep certain games on it.  party games.  rock band.  ..and some of the kids games for when both kids want to play different games.

I dropped my PS3 hard when PS4 came out but PS4 is still a pretty good system.   especially the OS is stable and easy to use compared to PS3 or alternatives like a Roku or Chromecast.

Sony's corporate strategy meeting. Going to be boring stuff.

But it's kind of weird they are putting this one on YouTube.
