Most of them don't actually expire.

Warner Bros has started expiring their old codes, whereas I've successfully used some 4 year expired Disney codes without any issues.

I started redeeming them, so I could recycle the paper.  But it also feels like a potential backup if something were to happen the physical copies too.

I have been having a weird thought process when I am looking through my movies and shows lately. I don't recall having this before.

Like I am thinking how much time do I realistically have to watch something? Out of these options, what might people here want to watch?

The 4k blu-ray reddit is getting excited about Walmart. Best Buy used to have exclusive steel books, which they are no longer selling.

Some Walmarts have set up steelbook sections.

Would be neat if it came over here. My Walmart barely has any blu-ray/4k.

Not the t.v. show thread, but yeah, I've been spending so much time up converting videos, shows, etc that I feel like I'll never get around to watching them.  I'll see how I feel once I'm done arching my Saturday morning cartoons and put them on Plex.

My local Walmart has far more blu-ray and 4K than they've ever had.

They hardly had any blu-ray or 4k before. Mostly the anime section and a couple others like Oppenheimer. They mostly just stocked DVD.

Today, they had a whole section of steel books that included a number of 4k movies.

I was actually tempted to buy something.

So will all these new emotions actually be bad, or will pixar say they have good parts too just like sadness?

the-pi-guy

I'm weirdly optimistic about the Riley stuff and pessimistic about the internal emotion stuff.

I said before, it bothered me that the adults have 5 emotions and now Riley has like 9.

What will happen to the other 4?

Quote from: the-Pi-guy on Feb 25, 2024, 04:35 AMSorry I worded that very poorly/ambiguously.

I meant it seems way more common for a standalone 4K disc than 4K + blu-ray + DVD.
The vast majority of releases seem to have 4k+blu-ray. But a number of releases will omit/skip the blu-ray. But this is the first time I've seen a bundle that goes all the way from 4k to DVD.

Out of the 38 movies I have bought on 4K:
4K only: 7 (LOTR trilogy, Godfather trilogy, Titanic)
4K + blu-ray: 30
4k+blu-ray+DVD: 1

It makes perfect sense for 4k only to be more common than 4k+blu-ray+dvd, but it's weird because 4k+blu-ray just seems to be the norm.
Paramount is apparently doing a whole line of them for very cheap.

So i bought a nexigo aurora pro 4k laser projector for my office/game room. it has active 3d built in and its pretty stunning watching 3d on a 100inches just 5 or so feet back.  So i did end up buying the way of water 3d blu ray.  It has a digital code for the movie if anyone wants it? I already have the digital version so I don't need it again.

I also bought it in 3d bluray, but I haven't watched it yet.

Interested in the blu-rays for Monk, Psych and Columbo. I think they deserve better than standard definition...
Well.

I've already picked up most of my list.

I really need to pace myself better.

I have a tendency to filter out movies/games/TV shows that aren't related to things I don't know.

Like I will generally follow sequels/production companies(Disney Animation, Ghibli)/directors (Shinkai, Nolan, etc) that I'm already familiar with.

I think that's a big reason why I'm so geared towards animation.

I also think animation is just really great.

It's like there's enough separation that certain things can feel more palatable.

And they don't have to be gory.

Legend

First part makes sense.

So many animated movies are gory, so I don't get your second part.
