Can't figure out this puzzle. Have no clue what one part of it is doing, so I'll continue with the rest of the game and come back later. 3/4 done.

Also just in general, I'm really really loving this game. The moment to moment puzzles are fun but the whole setup is really well done. It feels revolutionary in many ways.

Legend

Getting close to 100% done.

1 puzzle that I have no clue on (previous post), and another that I still need to figure out some things. Then a handful of puzzles I've yet to try.

Just one puzzle left that I know of.

I know what I need, but I have no idea how to get it. I keep searching over and over to see what I missed. No other puzzle has had a stupid solution so this one won't either, but all I can think of is stupid solutions. Maybe I should have gone to bed last night since tired zombies aren't that good at noticing things.

Also last night on my pentultimate puzzle I finally got the trophy for spending 20 minutes solving something. I do wish this game had more hard puzzles. Only ~5 slowed me down.

List of those puzzles:
Starbeam, S1
Starbeam, S3
Starbeam, W2
Gold, E1
Gold, S3

The one I'm still stuck on is:
Spoiler for Hidden:
Starbeam, W2

I had fun solving everything in reverse order. That made it a bit harder.

I was comparing trophies with you yesterday and was proud for a few seconds when I saw an achievement I got that you hadn't, then I realised it was one for spending 20 minutes or more on a puzzle. This must of been just before you got it.

Almost 100%ed East (not including the golden gates) and I'm struggling with the Sphinx puzzle in E3. It feels like it should be simple but can't work it out. Other than that, I agree on not many really challenging puzzles but difficult enough to really enjoy the game.

Legend

Credits rolled. 34 hours according to the game and a couple of those are just for that one puzzle I still have not solved. I found a few exploits and had fun exploring under the map, but I still have not figured out the actual solution.

Later I'll try to solve that last one. I'm not going to give up on it, but I need a break.

Sphinx E3 was kinda funky. Very obvious what the puzzle wants but pretty hard to actually get the correct result.

I liked a lot of the later puzzles, some have pretty fun solutions, but the star puzzles are just weird to me. They sometimes feel like easy alternative puzzles to give players a break from the main content, and other times they are by far the hardest puzzles in the game imo.

100% done!

Glad I didn't give up. Fun reward.

So I've completed all the main puzzles and now polishing off some of the tricky gold stars before doing the golden gate puzzles. I didn't struggle that much with many of the main puzzles like I did with Talos 1 but tricky enough to not disappoint. Judging by Legends playthrough, most of the challenge is with the golden puzzles.
The story and and characters are brilliant. They've done a good job in giving the characters personality and making them likable. Really enjoying it, which btw Legend, if I go on to the last bit of story, can I return to main game to complete find stars, golden puzzles etc.

It puts down a save before you enter the megastructure the final time.

Nice!

Finished it. Loved everything about it. Golden Gate and star puzzles weren't as hard as I was expecting. Main puzzles could of tested you more, instead the difficulty continually went from easy to medium-hard until another new tool was introduced then difficulty dipped and raised again until a new tool. Saying that, if the lost puzzles ranged from difficulty normal to hard and the stars/gold range from hard to extreme, the main puzzles difficulty would be fine.
But I still really enjoyed the puzzles with a few puzzles having interesting solutions. One that stuck out for me was the puzzle "Alternator" while it had quite a simple set up, I found the the solution to be different.
Story, for me, really added to the game, with great puzzles and interesting worlds to explore, it's better than Talos 1 in almost every way.
Spend 50 hours on it. 100% all the puzzles, found 13 artifacts and 20 flames. Enjoyed every minute.

Star puzzles were "hard" because I couldn't find the missing part. Not at all the fun type of hard. Maybe I screwed myself over by doing the puzzles backwards (8 to 1) so I was focused on looking near the concrete wall in W2.

In general I wish the game was harder. You just played ttp1 though so maybe it's a me problem not a game problem. I thought the first's puzzles were great.

How did your ending go?

I think I may of did the star puzzle wrong in W2 because I broke out a tool from a puzzle room nearby. How did you solve it?
Spoiler for Hidden:
I had a real good ending. I got all the stars and saved Miranda before going into the mega structure. I built a bridge on the utopian side (not sure if that makes a difference) and when I saved Athena I choose truth. It's very rare a game actually let's you have a happy ending so complete. I don't want to do any of the other endings because I don't want to spoil that ending lol

There is a driller hidden in the open world. I spent literal hours searching for it ::)

Spoiler for Hidden:
I did the exact same thing, even making sure to use the utopian bridge side. I really didn't expect the game to be so positive in the end. The story and world are what make it a 10/10 for me.

For me at least the Goal was so silly from the beginning and it felt like the game respected that. I just wish I could have confronted someone about how reaching robot 1k and having 1,000 citizens are completely different things, since plenty of robots had died.
