Forza Motorsport - Metacritic

Pretty funny that Microsoft and Turn 10 spent six years on this instead of the usual two, only to get essentially the same score they always do.

I knew it was coming out... But I don't care and no one else did either.

Oh but it can be fun to talk about a flop.

Peaking under 5,000 concurrent players with a 41% positive rating on steam is so much worse than I expected: https://steamdb.info/app/2440510/charts/

Wonder what will happen to Turn 10. Forza Horizon has completely taken over the franchise and it doesn't make sense to keep the original franchise going.

imo, forza and GT have that fifa/madden problem.   a game chasing to emulate a real-life thing at some point can't do anything to improve or change things up.  all they can do is put new names on the jersey's.   ...or in forza/GTs case add new cars.

would be a shame for these games to die out completely because there is always a new generation of people to experience it for the first time but forza in particular released too many games in a row.   this should be like mario kart where it's a once in a generation title with occasional DLC packs or something like that.

I'd like to see GT bring back some tracks like London and Rome from GT5. They were awesome

Fifa always has room for improvement because it has intricate animations and movement.  While racing is by no means simple, designing it is much easier than something like football or American football

I think releasing one game a gen is good enough now. Should get good enough sales and DLC can help it get extra revenue. But at least GT7 is adding VR, I dont see what F7 adds other than better graphics
