Bit better than the last one. You are 2 for 2.

Nice  8)

On that note:

- I think having the developer talk helps. A lot of people have talked about how they don't want those slow bits, but I think it helps more than they think to meet a middle ground. Don't have a developer or an executive talk for 15 minutes in the middle of show, but I think it keeps it from being monotonous trailer after trailer. It's a weird thing that I think helps people enjoy a show that people think they don't enjoy.

- I think in general people don't like lots of 90 second trailers, even though a lot of people think they do. I think there needs to be a little bit of time to enjoy what a game is offering.

- Setting expectations I think helps. A lot of people were especially expecting not much after the Showcase, and I don't think most people were expecting a good Spider-Man trailer.

I think on paper the Showcase months ago should have been good. But I don't think the onslaught of 90 second trailers works. I don't think that's enough time to make people care about a game. Unless you do a really great job.

Especially when these trailers are spending so much time showing you random things, that don't pertain to the story or the gameplay or anything else...

Just helldivers and spiderman had talking right?

I love talking but I didn't think this was an example of it.

There wasn't a lot of talking, but there were a few bits. Helldivers, Spiderman and a couple transitional bits from Shawne that helped break up the show a little bit.

I like the talking.  the format of the show was much better than the showcase.

they can do better with the talking though.  be more excited.

so all caught up now.

i've still yet to play the first 2 spiderman games but man does spiderman 2 look good.  this was a really good showing.

i'm still looking forward to helldivers 2 but it was not a good trailer.  i disagree with the "forced" or "awkward" statements about the coms chat.  it was reasonably realistic.   but when has com's chat ever made a trailer better?  it does nothing to tell me about what the game is and also coms isn't "fun" when it isn't your friends.   this game is going to live/die on the business model.   i don't think this can succeed under a $70 price tag.

ghostrunner 2 was looking hot to me.  i'm just realizing the first game is on ps+ extra.   i think i'll try that one out first but just as trailers this one looks a lot more polished.

once again i've yet to play a FF game.   i'm getting very tempted to try one out though.  regardless that twin pack is a good deal.  my coop buddy raved about the first part of this remake.

might have to check out roblox.  not really for me but i know a lot of my kid's friends play.

all in all a good show.   not sure about the strategy of leading with baby steps.    that looks for for about 20 mintues....

...but especially when you take into consideration the multiplats announced at the nintendo direct it was a good day.

Good state of play imo. Also that ff trailer was amazing. So vibrant, varied, fun and mysterious
