Wasn't the timed puzzle in the mountain? I thought you could plat the game without entering the mountain. Im probably remembering wrong.
I can't even remember how the puzzle went. Just that you wound up a music box or record player or something and then rush around like crazy.

Now I know why I got confused by the music box being in the mountain, the first entrance to it is through the mountain.

it was very fun but also so hard (imo). 

let us know if you beat it and especially if you figure out some foolproof stategy to solve things quick.   I feel like there needs to be something I could have done better to solve things quick that I didn't figure out.

I would totally give it another go if I thought I could actually beat it.

Well I already beat it first time round so you definitely can.

I did it way more than 20 tries the first time round. Well I can't actually remember the amount of tries other than it was a lot. Had a few tries earlier but was too tired to get my brain to figure out anything lol

I think you're right. Probably ends under the mountain but the bulk is towards the monastery and town.

Gdi. I just paced it all out below and above (using strafe, forwards and backwards) to find out where the record player is located from above and but found the tunnel the other side of the record player that pops out right below the well. Definitely right under the town. What a waste of time. I was so disoriented down there lol.

I'm 7 environment puzzles away from finding them all on The Witness. Gave up on the music player challenge after 20+ attempts. I cheated and found out the pattern for the theatre which would of been unlocked if you completed music player challenge because I suspected that that was the missing film to get one of the environment patterns and that's the only time I've looked at a guide. It was weird because I couldn't remember completing that environment puzzle last time but remember the stories told in the video so I must of done it.

Overall, The Witness kind of feels like a new experience because I forgot so much. The deeper I got into the game the more it became unfamiliar. A lot of thing I remembered but also vague memories were enough to help solve a lot of other puzzle, both panels and environment.  

Still enjoying loads but not as special as playing it first time around.


Note: I'm still finding hidden easter eggs. Which is crazy how much I explred the island the first time.

Started unravel two with my son.

Game glitched immediately at the start and wouldn't progress so that was fun.
