Remakes/remasters that make sense but never happened

There are some games that I believe would make a ton of cash and be successful if it were remade or at least remastered. But for some reason the parent company doesn't bother doing so.

The biggest culprit is red dead redemption. On current hardware the only way to play it is on xbox via BC. Whats baffling is that half of the map is already in RDR so they got some work already done.

Another one is older scrolls oblivion. After skyrim and fall out 3 Bethesda games really grew in popularity. And oblivion seems like a fan favourite. Heck id love to play this game with updates graphics and QoL features. I think a remaster like this could sell a lot specially of it releases on all platforms

i don't know about making a ton of money or anything but i'm really disappointed that a few titles are stranded on ps3
- gow collection
- ratchet and clank collection
- ratchet and clank future saga
- killzone 2 and 3
- puppeteer
- not really for me but sly cooper
- infamous 1 and 2
- resistance 1-3
- LBP 1 and 2

i'd be fine with a "lazy port".  i just want to be able to replay these on my ps5.  sony might not be able to make every game BC but sony should at least make some effort to make their games BC.

Those were going to be my two picks. Especially Oblivion. That to me felt surprising considering Bethesda was happy to port Skyrim everywhere multiple times.

On Kitler's point, the PS3 generation was filled with remasters and collections, and yet especially on Sony's front they don't seem interested in doing that for the PS4/PS5 generations. Add inFamous to Kitler's list.

Always personally wanted a Super Mario RPG remaster.

updated.  added resistance, LBP, and R&C future saga for good measure.

Elder scrolls for sure. Morrowind is even more liked than oblivion.

Daggerfall is getting a fan remaster. They rebuilt the game in unity but it's a "mod" so you need a copy of the og game.
