Forecast of 25 Million PS5 consoles shipped next fiscal, marking the highest ever shipment for a PlayStation console.

Horizon

Spider-man 2 is going to have to do a lot of carrying

6.3 x 4 quarters = 25.2 million.

i think it's unsustainable to think playstation will sell 6.3 million units again next quarter but really it doesn't even have to because the holiday quarter is always a nice increate QoQ.  they are definitely in position to hit that target,.. maybe even exceed it.  that's f'ing crazy.

One notable thing is that Sony has decreased their investment by 1.5 billion for this year.

I think it was previously 5.5 billion, so now they have something like 4 billion to spend this year.

No

Quote• In terms of strategic investment, since we decided to increase working capital and capital expenditures, and in consideration of the current M&A market environment, we decided to reduce the amount from the initial plan of 2 trillion yen to 1.8 trillion yen.

When they originally made the plan 2 trillion yen was something like 18.5 billion. They showed they had like 5 billion dollars left some months ago, they've now decreased their investment plan down to basically $3.5 billion for the next year.

That's pretty great. It's awesome to finally start seeing PS5's true potential.

Did it actually miss expectations?

Or is this the regular thing of finding analysts that made bad predictions and using those predictions to make FUD?

Software sales are down a little bit:
QuoteGame sales in the latest quarter were down to 68 million units from 70.5 million in the same period a year earlier. The company reported operating profit of ¥128.5 billion.

But this just looks like petty FUD.

It's so weird to me to see a Bloomberg article like this.
