That sucks. They've been through a lot as a studio.

welp.

I still think the order 1886 was pretty good and deserved a chance at a sequel.

I kept waiting for it to go on PS+ so I could play it, but that never happened.

Kinda crazy that no early PS4 exclusives got sequels. Killzone died, LBP died, Infamous died, 1886 died, Until Dawn 2 never happened, and Bloodborne 2 never happened. Only game to get a sequel was Knack lol.

not sure if it ever goes on sale anymore but for a while there you could regularly get it for $5.   worth it.

the game had great graphics, characters, story, art direction.  the gameplay was good too.  the only real criticism was "more".  it just needed more.  more chapters.  more enemies. more bosses.

that's why I really wanted it to get a sequel.   no 1886 was not an amazing game but what was there was really good.  it just needed to have more of everything.

Yeah I would broadly agree with that.

I recall some minor stuff like QTEs in unnecessary spots. But it was a good game.

its a terrible time to try applying for jobs in the industry when a big layoff happens.  Those that have experience already are gonna disperse into many of the open positions. Which is good for them, but just bad for someone trying to break fully into it.

But also has RaD even released anything lately.  Feel like last i saw was their VR game or something.

i mean, meta bought them specifically to develop content for VR.   that's all they've done lately.

Lone Echo 2 in 2021 was their last game.
Supposed to be a great VR game.

I recall quite a bit of RAD went to ND after the Order 1886. I expect quite a few of them to end up at SSM and ND again.
