Will Firewalk or Firesprite get name changes?

Sony is up to 20 game studios, after starting with like 13 at the start of the gen.

It's also odd how most of their purchases are non well known studios. Maybe in a few years some of them will be my favorite devs but right now their list of 20 game studios feels so hollow.

A couple of them are brand new studios (Haven, Firewalk). Firewalk is made up of ex-Bungie people. Haven is made up of ex-Ubisoft (Assassin's Creed, Watch Dogs) people. Firesprite is not super new, but a lot of people from Sony Studio Liverpool.

A couple of them are more behind the scenes, support studios (Valkyrie, Nixxes).

I will defend Bluepoint at least, and say they're pretty awesome at what they do.

Sure, none of it is as exciting as buying Zenimax, but there seem to be a lot of talented people at these studios.

On the other hand, not a very exciting announcement. They were already announced as a partner a couple years ago at this point. Doesn't change much I guess.

Their game is apparently 5 years in development, so maybe it will get announced later this year.

Somewhat expected. So who is next? Deviation? Sounds like the most reasonable thing to expect

Also this is good news. Means Sony is happy with the studio and the project. Excited to see it

Deviation, Arrowhead and Ballistic Moon seem to be the likely candidates right now.

People will only be excited once they show their game and I think that applies to Haven and Firesprite as well. Bluepoint and Housemarque already have proven themselves to a degree.
