I added in Haven, Bungie, Savage Game Studios (which was originally an intentional decision to exclude the latter two, but ah why not)

London Studio is in such a weird place.
They seem to be getting downsized over time, and yet they're still getting put on stuff that seems more experimental.

I'm not sure how to feel about MM. They were amazing during the PS3 era, and then they literally spent like 7 years getting Dreams out the door, and then not having it go like anywhere.
tearaway is amazing.  not sure if you played both like myself but tearaway was more than just a simple port.  quick a lot of content was added.

so long as MM is making a game it will be fantastic.   they are the only studio that's better at being nintendo than nintendo is.

Neil Druckmann has talked about Miyazaki a few times now.

Maybe Sony should acquire these guys.

I've been saying that for years. It's great if they stay independent, but I'm pretty hyped for the game and I hope they have the resources to pull it off.

I really doubt the studio was particularly happy with where it was. MM was one of the most successful studios during the PS3 gen and had so much potential. Now look at the other Sony studios selling 8 to 30 million of their games. While the entire gen they just released dreams.

Its such a sad story for what was once the most creative studio at Sony. Somtiems these studios never recover and lose their identity. I hope MM still has its talent and soul

I don't know how accurate this talking point was, but people regularly stated MM was Sony's most profitable studio during PS3 thanks to all the microtransactions. I'm so glad Sony has given them room to experiment/fail. If they were a different Sony studio they would have been shut down by now.

i don't know if it is true or not but i can say i spent entirely too much money on LBP mtx.   it was a game i'd put down for a while and then play obsessively for a day or two and i'd routinely buy a new costume each time i came back.   it was just a buck or two per costume so it barely registered as money to me but then i did it again and again and again.   i probably paid a good $30-40 over the life of the game which is a massive amount on mtx for me.   i think my next highest mtx i've paid is i bought 1 car for rocket league for $2.

I dont mean where it was during the PS3 era. I meant where it was after dreams released and despite the support it didn't work out. Perhaps I shouldn't have used every it was, rather should have used where it is now.

During the PS3 era MM was one of the saviours of playstation. Not only where LBP1 and 2 huge. But they became a mascot for PS

I just thought of this. They should make a F2P little big planet. That would could really work

I got that and I agree with you.

F2P Little big planet would be hard. Sackboy's adventure did fine but I don't know if the brand is strong enough for that.

yeah, f2p is having a hard time right now.   don't think LBP would work out.  i think they'd be better releasing a full game at $40 with the option of mtx.

Media Molecule need to be creative and they've created 3 brilliant franchises. Personally I think Dreams is their very best. So many dip in and out games that it's really fun to explore what people have created. And Media Molecule did make a single player experience but never really pushed it as the focus.
I hope they don't go back to LBP because I think that is dated and I hope they don't step away fro Create Play Share.
