DualSense Edge hands on.

The Verge

QuoteThe Edge is the same size, the same shape, and has the same buttons and joysticks as far as my fingers can tell. Only now, you get two kinds of rear paddles, adjustable hair triggers, swappable stick tops (including the classic PlayStation domes), the ability to remap almost every button on the controller and adjust joystick sensitivity curves, new dedicated function keys to hot-switch profiles, and — get this — toolless quick-swap stick modules so you can replace a broken joystick in 30 seconds flat.
I spent two hours at PlayStation's US headquarters trying all of the above, and unless there are hidden flaws or the battery runs out mid-session, I'm pretty sure this will be the best PS5 controller you can buy for $200.

Battery operating length is "moderately shorter" than DualSense. Not great.

Lol, PlayStation.blog is advertising with a negative point:

QuoteCall of Duty: Modern Warfare II
The function buttons stood out when hopping into a Modern Warfare II match. I immediately realized I had the controller profile still set up for God of War Ragnarök, but thanks to the on-controller trigger switches I quickly adjusted them to a shorter length for snappier aiming and shooting.

Sounds like it'll have a kinda poor launch. Or maybe enough people have enough money to just want whatever's considered premium.

That's the spirit!  ;D

I have a hard time believing that Horizon Call of the Mountain is the only first party PSVR2 game for launch.
Not that I'm expecting any big games, but with the PS5 and PSVR1 they made an effort to include some smaller free title.

If nothing else, I'm expecting something along the lines of The Playroom/Astro's Playroom to be announced yet. Maybe that's too hopeful.

Why would they wait so long to announce it? When was playroom announced?

I've stopped trying to guess why Sony does anything lately.
QuoteWhen was playroom announced?

I think several months prior.

QuoteAsked about the PSVR2's software lineup, Nishino says Sony hasn't announced all of its VR games yet.

Legend will probably disagree.

But I think GT7, Resident Evil Village, Horizon CotM is an okay launch line up.

What I'd like to see from here is post launch support. Give me action adventure, give me RPG, give me Astrobot rescue mission 2.

Also on a weird note, I kind of got the vibe that Sony group is more excited about VR than SIE. Felt like they spent a few minutes hyping up VR related stuff, only for Jim Ryan to spend like a minute on VR and then start talking about accessibility controllers.

Still pretty on the fence about keeping my PSVR2 preorder.  I'll make a better decision probably the week before it comes out.  But at that point i might just be like fudge it and just keep it.

kitler53

GT7 certainly helps the launch but i need sony to show me a line-up beyond day-1.

i'm okay with the shallow line-up for ps5 in general but sony needs to build confidence that they'll actually support psvr2 and not just dump it on the market and walk away.   right now this thing does not look like it will be supported.   $550 with noBC, no video playback, and low confidence on continuing support is a terrible value proposition.
