Assuming they're doing this for show to get regulators of their back, wouldn't you be questioning why a 10 year deal and not indefinietly? I mean, I'm not saying this is the only reason, as Nintendo has a large userbase and there's lots of money to be made here.  But would this deal have actually happened if this wasn't being watched globally?

CoD isn't even on switch lol. Nintendo would be negotiating to gain something, while Sony would be negotiating to keep what they already have. Not comparable.

There hasn't been a Call of Duty game on a Nintendo platform since Ghosts on the Wii U back in 2013

Nintendo will go from Call of Duty completely skipping their platform for a generation to having the franchise guaranteed support for an entire gen

wondering outloud here...

.... switch is not capable of running the same version of CoD as on xbox.  clearly a downgraded version will be required as it has always been required.   knowing MS is perpetually lying about things,.. anyone think that even if MS does put CoD on playstation that they'll port the downgraded nintendo version instead of the xbox/PC version?  i wouldn't put it past them...

Lol funny but no. Either switch gets ports/cloud streaming of the real games, or they'll just slap the smartphone version on it. Making a dedicated switch version like they did for wii would take too much work and make less money.

But for sure they'll spend less time optimizing the ps5 verson.

yeah, good point.   i wasn't thinking about streaming.  

...so streaming to playstation as well.   and by that i mean MS will offer streaming only and then be like "it's sony's fault, they said no.  we tried."
