It's a really good close to the Norse duology but dang the Greek trilogy story overall was so much better. Gameplay though is way better in the new ones

For being a duology, it's interesting how "unsynergetic" the games are.

Gow 2018 ended on a cliffhanger with a big adventure set up on a platter, and then this one throws it away to do its own thing. It feels like both stories were made independently.<br><br>Gow 2 and 3 were a much tighter duology. <br>

What are yall thoughts on the no cut camera? I liked it in 2018 but disliked it here.

The transitions between boy and kratos ruin it. What&#39;s the point of having no cuts if you&#39;re still missing parts of everyone&#39;s story?<br><br>Do boy and kratos have identical knifes? That transition didn&#39;t make sense either.<br><br><br>Also they slept too much imo. The dream transitions were cool but you&#39;d see them coming. The boat ride in 2018 to get the blades was better imo.<br>

Controversial opinion but the new cut camera isn't really something that I notice.
Like if I played through the whole game someone asked if I noticed anything special I would say I didn't really. I see it after it's been pointed out though. But it's not something that I feel impacts my experience

Autocorrect mistake?

I notice it a lot because so many film narrative tricks rely on jumping forward in time. Can't do that in gow which really gives it a unique flair, although like I said I think it worked better as a one off.

Rewatching some 2018 footage, I think it kept the camera closer to Kratos which also helped.

Real bummer that this game had nothing Greek in the main story. The first game had teases and a few hints that I was really hoping would be expanded on.<br><br>They teased stuff with the mask, such as the origin of all gods, but that didn&#39;t go anywhere.<br>

Didn&#39;t really want/expect anything more. <br><br>I guess I felt kind of strange about the mask. I kind of felt like it wasn&#39;t going to go anywhere the entire time. It felt like a distraction from the story to me. <br>

I really liked that relationship. Probably my favorite side content in the game.

Was fun having them bond and share their past. Glad that she&#39;s the companion for the end game.<br><br>Was disappointed about the lack of interesting developments Greece could have provided. Having a Greek god kill his pantheon and end up in Midgard opens up so many questions they just didn&#39;t bother with. The story in Ragnarok only cares about the emotions of Kratos&#39;s past, not its implications. <br><br>I was hoping for something Horizon Zero Dawn like where there was more to the world than you first realized.<br><br><br>Pretty early on I figured the mask was a McGuffin. It fits the story ragnarok told but I hoped the game was going to surprise us with another trick up its sleeve.<br>
