Sony wants to ship 30 million PS5's next fiscal year.

It was said that Sony aims to sell 18 million consoles in FY22 and 30.5 million in FY23, just shy of a 70% increase YoY.

Have to imagine they must have a lot of games planned for that year.

i mean,.. GoW was kind of almost a new IP.   I would think GoW:R as a sequel will have more front loading of sales.   the real goal is who sells more LTD and to that end this statistic doesn't exactly mean GoW:R is going to win.   GoW 2018 had amazing legs.

GOW 2018 still had the biggest PS launch ever at the time.

Sold 3.1 million in 3 days.

Was toppled by Spiderman later (3.3 million).

Then the overall record for PlayStation is 4 million in 3 days, held by TLOU Part II.

there was a 45 minute wait for the restaurant I'm currently at.  to waste the time I took my kids to the GameStop across the way.  the only other customer there was buying a PS5/GoW:R bundle.

I guess.  TLoU2 broke records too but quickly dropped off is all I'm saying.
