i'm all for accessibility but i also hate targeting "the least common denominator".  

in my software platform the UiUx team hates that i use color to try and communicate anything.  they say it's not friendly to those that are color blind.   they show me the mock-ups of their version and i tell them,... it's not friendly to anyone.   

i want games to do things that are cool and novel.  what's the point of supporting 3D audio if your not allowed to utilize 3D audio for gameplay.  i don't know how to solve that for people that are deaf but please don't take away novel experiences for everyone else just because some people can't experience it as intended.

It's really awesome when accessibility improvements help everyone. For example all audio only puzzles should be removed from games because they're universally hated.

The article says God of War 2018, but they were actually talking about God of War 1 (2005).

I tried every single combo for the later sound ones and cheated the boat door.

really?  i loved EVERY aspect of the witness.  ...including the sound puzzle area.  such an amazing game.

Feel like i vaguely remember that.  i should go back and replay the first couple again.  Been a while.  I've replayed the third multiple.
